Assateague Island

I rode my motorcycle to Assateague Island for vacation with my Aunt and Uncle. It is six hours each way, long enough ride in a car, try it on a bike! It actually wasn't that bad, just a little back pain when I got there. Well worth it!

Assateague Island is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. The beach was amazing, although some of those waves can catch you by surprise! The trails they have around the island are great too, very well taken care of.

There are horses everywhere. Its really kind of cool. You will be eating lunch by your tent and have one (or a few) walk right up to you. Another camper while we were there actually had a horse walk in their tent, now that would be a little odd!

My only complaint about the island was that there were a lot of ticks. I got a total of four of them on me while I was there, not a good feeling!

I got pretty well sun burned while on the beach (which made the ride back really painful), but other than that it was a great vacation. I look forward to returning one of these days!
